Come vestirsi alla Cresima – Confirmation day

La Cresima è quel sacramento che ci rende maturi agli occhi di Dio: il momento in cui confermiamo il nostro credo in maniera autonoma. Se il battezzo ci viene dettato dai genitori, la Cresima è una scelta consapevole. Non è un mistero che io sia cattolica e sabato scorso ho conseguito questo Sacramento insieme a mia sorella e al mio ragazzo.

A chi deve cresimarsi in “età adulta” come noi, consiglio:

• un look sobrio ma comunque curato
• colori neutri
• evitare gonne troppo corte
• se si opta per un abito o un top scollato pensare sempre ad un copri spalle
• meglio scegliere delle scarpe comode per camminare lungo la navata insieme alla madrina/padrino.

Per la Cresima io ho scelto un abito con le bretelline in chiffon e seta di colore grigio. La lunghezza dell’abito non superava il ginocchio mentre le scarpe erano morbidissime e completamente in gomma. Sopra ho messo un copri spalle incrostato di paillettes in una tonalità di grigio inferiore a quella del vestito. Mia sorella, invece, ha optato per un tubino in tessuto damascato a maniche corte e delle scarpe a punta. Come colore per confetti e cadeaux abbiamo scelto l’azzurro il tutto in fai-da-te. Per la Cresima infatti, si può scegliere tra il rosso e l’azzurro che simboleggiano entrambi la discesa dello Spirito Santo. [EN] Confirmation is the sacrament that give us the possibility to confirm our religion with our maturiry in front of God. The Baptize is given from our parents instead the Confirmation is an autonomous choice. It isn’t a mistery that I’m Catholic and last Saturday I have achieve this Sacrament with my sister and my boyfriend.

I would like to give some fashion advices to who is going to celebrate this event.

• An elegant and simple look with pale colours.
• Avoid miniskirts and if you are going to wear a top think about a jacket or a shawl to cover your shoulders during the celebration in the church.
• It is good to choice comfortable shoes to walk along the church with your godmother or godfather.

For my Confirmation I have chosen a grey dress in chiffon and silk. The length of the dress doesn’t pass my knee. My shoes were comfortable and completely made of natural rubber. To cover my shoulder I have worn a light grey shawl with paillettes. My sister decided to wear a sheath dress with damask design and short sleeves. On feet tip heel shoe. We have opted for blue coriandoli, cake and decorations. Everything was handmade. The colours of the Confirmation are red or blue that both represent the descent of the holy spirit.
